| CDC Endorsements Vote for CDP Officers CDC Endorsement Vote - RESULTS POSTED HERE Thanks to all of you who participated in our endorsement vote. This unprecedented online vote is a new direction for CDC, providing for a more inclusive process as it allows members from across the state to participate in CDC decision making without incurring the cost and time of travel. We hope you found this process to be simple and rewarding. For us it has been; several months of preparation, several thousand emails and many hundreds of phone calls. Committees, CDC officers, club representatives and delegates have worked together, not to mention the tireless efforts of our Credentials Committee, to provide more than 90 clubs and almost 400 verified delegates statewide the opportunity to let your voices be heard! Henry Vandermeir President CDC Democratic Leadership Training Hits Mark in Riverside The California Democratic Council's Leadership Training held January 24th in Riverside County was a big hit, as more than a 100 activists gathered for an intensive 11-hour day of training. Designed to make grassroots activists more effective in growing Democratic clubs throughout California, organizing local political groups, and even running for office, the sessions have been held in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and now Riverside county.We now begin to move the training northward to Bakersfied on February 21st followed by El Dorado on March 21st. The traning session feature presentations and discussions on the following topics:

The California Democratic Council (CDC) will hold a special online candidate endorsement vote for the CDP state officer positions of Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary, and Controller:
All officially chartered Democratic clubs and Democratic County Central Committees are entitled to at least one delegate. Clubs fully affiliated with CDC are entitled to one duly elected delegate, and one alternate, for each ten (10) members who appear on the CDC approved affiliation roster, as well as a vote for the Club President or the Club President's designee. County Central Committees fully affiliated with CDC shall be entitled to two duly-elected delegates, and two alternates, for each Assembly District, whole or partial, contained within the county. As Californians, we have a hallowed tradition of leading the nation in progressive thinking and action. For proof, just look at our state party's platform. With the Progressive Caucus now the fastest growing caucus in the California Democratic Party and its activists continually pushing our "priority issues" for such efforts as the rapid removal of our military from Iraq and not-for-profit universal health care, we are eons ahead of what's going on "inside the Beltway" or even in our own statehouse.
